German and French institutes to hold street festival in Erbil Tuesday, June 15th 2010 10:27 AM Erbil, June 15 (AKnews) – The Director for German Goethe Cultural Institute declared today that on July 8 the Institute, in collaboration with the French Cultural Center, is going to set a street festival for Children in Erbil. "For the first time the two cultural bodies are going to hold a street festival in Erbil and they intend to train 50 Kurdish children for the event", Yudith Mischberger told AKnews on Tuesday. The children will be directed and trained by 4 German and 3 French performers June 26 through July 8, according to her. "Puppet and clown shows along with some other comic plays are scheduled for the occasion ", she added. Goethe Cultural Institution is intended to introduce the German culture in Kurdistan Region and serve the cultural rapprochement between Germany and the Region. Lh (AKnews)
